Hundreds of indexed routes to suit walkers of different levels and abilities, radiate from the resort in all directions across the stunning landscape of the Tarentaise Alps : through meadows and forests, pastures and glaciers, with summits culminating at 4,000 m in the heart of this nature reserve.
You don't have to be a rock-climber to experience the thrill of scaling a cliff face! A Via Ferrata – literally "Iron way" - consists of iron rungs and cables, which enable you to climb in complete security. This sport requires concentration and you need to be physically fit. Those who suffer from vertigo, abstain!
Treetop adventure park
The adventure park has trails suitable for all levels of ability and fully-qualified mountaineering guides are on hand to supervise and give advice. The different elements include : hanging bridges, rope ladders, zip lines ….
Canyoning, rafting and white water sports
Popular activities open to everyone: jumps, slides, abseiling, canyoning and river-running.
On the River Isère : at Bourg St Maurice, Landry, Bellentre, Macot la Plagne and Centron or on the River Doron de Bozel : at Brides les Bains and Salins les Thermes
Climbing : tuition and climbing walls
Discover the merits of climbing : more than just a sport, it provides excellent whole mind and body training. Scale the wall at the Morel Leisure Centre or sign on for lessons in one of the local Climbing Schools in Aigueblanche, Doucy, Naves or Notre Dame du Pré.
For cycling enthusiasts or just for fun, the Isère cycle track runs alongside the river for 13 km from Aime to Séez. Ride it, rollerblade it or walk it with your family and stop off at Les Iles lake and recreation area for a picnic. For a sportier ride, come back via the Versant du Soleil (south-facing mountain road).
For serious cycling over major alpines passes, choose between : The Iseran Pass (2, 764m; 9,068 ft), The Petit St Bernard Pass ( 2,188m; 7,178 ft), the Madeline Pass (1,993m ; 6,538 ft) or the Cormet de Roseland (1,968: 6,456 ft).
